Project summary:

Inspectors at a water treatment plant found that six leveling troughs had severe corrosion causing water level issues. To repair the troughs, they were first completely drained and power washed before sand blasting could begin. Areas with pitting and through-wall failures were repaired using FRP Repair Putty, then the troughs were wrapped in a four-layer carbon fiber system on the inside and outside. A corrosive resistant topcoat was applied to finish the repair solution and provide the plant with a leak-free, 50-year life extension for these critical assets.
